Our Fees

We offer either hourly services (traditional) or flat fee services on many popular services such as bankruptcy, divorce and real estate. Because we have attorneys at $175 per hour to $250 per hour, we ask that you call to request the flat fee that is available for the type of service needed. Flat fees are not offered in all areas we service. Credit cards are accepted for flat fees or hourly service options.

How Do Flat Fees Work?
Flat fees are paid up front for the work to be performed on a case. The benefit to the client is the fees are capped even if the hours go over the time projected. The benefit to the attorney is that the fees are paid up front and do not need to be collected later. Flat fees for a specific service generally do not include a trial in the matter or follow up work once the matter is concluded. A new fee agreement can be arranged for additional work.

Is Hourly a Better Option?
Hourly billing may be better if you believe your matter can be concluded for less hours/cost than the flat fee quoted. However, the disadvantage is that if more time is needed, the cost continues as there is no cap on the time (and thus the fees) needed. A retainer deposit is required for hourly billing so that money is on hand to pay each invoice. All invoices will show the work performed and the time it took for that task. Hourly clients are billed for all time on a case such as phone calls, letters written, court hearings, settlement meetings, client meetings, file review, and so on. Retainer (deposit) is generally $1,500 - $3,000 but could be lower for a single issue or higher for non-routine issues involved in a case.

Sample Fees
We do have a sample fee sheet for some flat fees that start from the $175 an hour rate (would be higher for higher hourly attorney rate). Please call our office to have that faxed or mailed to you or speak to one of our attorneys to have a quote for your specific matter.

Coaching & Consulting Fees
This ranges from $175 to $200 per hour and must be paid for at the time of service. Coaching and consulting work well in situations where you want to know your rights or a direction to take on a case but do not plan to hire an attorney. This also works well if you plan to handle a matter in court on your own but need to learn what to do in court or how to present your case or present your evidence or documents. Past clients have raved about this service and how helpful it was to them when they went to court. Call today to schedule your personal time. Please allow at least two hours so we can adequately prepare you or cover all of your questions.

Free Services
We offer many services free or at no charge, such as our notary public service and use of our legal library/resources. We offer copies and forms at a nominal cost per page. Much of our literature is free or at a small cost. Finally, we are happy to answer a quick legal question at no charge but ask that you limit that to one basic question.

Initial Consults
For further questions, or a new case, we offer an initial half hour consult for only $20. This is a great way to become familar with the legal issue you are facing as well as with the attorney you may choose to work with. New clients can also utilize our Take-a-Laywer-to-Lunch program. If you need more time you can pay for some additional time as we generally block at least one hour for a new consult.

Call or E-mail Today
Please call us today to set up an appointment or to speak to an attorney. You can also choose to e-mail one of the attorneys.
